Roger O’Neill was a renaissance man: An avid biker whose hand built bikes were prized by friends and family, a musician who built beautiful classical guitars, a lover of nature, hiking, trout fishing; a brilliant biochemist who contributed to sequencing the human genome. Recently married, at the age of 50, O'Neill passed away unexpectedly from colon cancer on May 8, 2008.
Johns Hopkins Colon Cancer Center is developing a promising blood test which will detect colon cancer early, saving millions of lives. With assistance from Roger’s sister and frequent DCC rider Jan O’Neill, the Door County Century is promoting Johns Hopkins’ research. Here is how you can help...
