The Nicolet National Bank Course Routes

All routes in 2019 will start and finish at the Door County Fairgrounds in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. From Green Bay, head north on Hwy. 42/57, cross the bridge over the shipping channel, turn left on Michigan Street, then right on 14th.  If using a GPS locator, use the address 814 North 14th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to get there.

All routes are on paved roads, selected for safety and scenic value. The longer routes require short stretches of highway riding. Use extra caution when crossing and riding on State Highways 42, 57 or County Highway A. Terrain is rolling with some challenging hills. Routes will be marked with colored arrows painted on the roads and green/white directional signs along the straights and at each turn. Please be very aware of these marks and signs.

The routes for this year's event are still being reviewed by state, county, and municipal authorities in Door County. Roads are being constructed as you read this. Route maps will be available in a variety of formats. For reference, those proposed 2019 DCC routes are provided below:

The Door County Century courses have a some significant hills.  As a rule, if you are riding on the Green Bay side of the peninsula, at some point you will need to climb the limestone bluff which lies to the east of you. Depending on the length of the course you ride, this may happen several times. As you cross over the peninsula landscape, you will experience rolling farmland and pastures. These segments can also be hilly at times, but are not as grueling. Along the Lake Michigan shoreline, expect the course routes to have much less elevation. This is an especially nice way to finish your journey and head back to the Door County Fairgrounds.

The DCC departure window for all riders is from 6:00am -10:00am on Sunday morning.  In order for our delivery staff, rest station volunteers, and public safety personnel to fully prepare the course and rest stations, do not depart the fairgrounds in Sturgeon Bay any earlier or later than the specified time window. Please allow enough time to complete the route you have chosen before 5:00 p.m. Your planned distance and anticipated pace should dictate when you start.

70 & 100 Mile Routes: 6:00 am until 9:00 am

50 Mile Route: 7:00 am until 10:00 am
30 Mile Route: 9:00 am until 10:00 am

Rest stops will be located approximately every 15 miles. There will be Gatorade, water and ample amounts of food. Each rest stop will also offer technical assistance, first aid supplies, and rest rooms. The printed maps on ride weekend will provide the location and time of operation for each rest stop. Each rider's Door County Century wrist band is their ticket for food and beverages at each rest stop.
